About the Artist: Roanne Gibbons is of Metis descent from northern Saskatchewan. With over 17 years of practice, Roanne considers her work to reflect both traditional and contemporary. Roannes inspiration to become an Artist stems from her great-grandmother, grandmother and mother who were/are talented beaders. When Roanne is not creating art, she enjoys reading, walking and bike rides with her daughter.
To view more of Roannes works, Roanne and her mother have a shared beading business, "Lucia-Rose Metis/Cree Artisans."
