WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Manager – Inventory & Logistics is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods by aligning demand forecasts with supply plans to maintain optimal inventory levels, maximize product availability, and minimize costs. This role drives data-informed decision-making across forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment planning. By continuously improving processes, systems, and performance metrics, the position plays a critical role in building a responsive, cost-effective, and scalable supply chain that supports overall business growth and customer service objectives.

SALARY
Starting from $80,000
LOCATION
This position is hybrid/remote within Winnipeg, MB. The incumbent will be required to report to our Headquarters, located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba as directed.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Vice President of Finance.
Key Relationships: Sales, Operations, Finance, 3PL warehouse.
Direct Reports: Yes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage supply and production plan to meet sales forecasts, reflect lead times, supplier constraints, and business priorities.
- Identify, and implement process improvements in supply planning and inventory management.
- Align and execute purchase orders with forecasted demand.
- Establish and manage inventory policies (safety stock, reorder points, min/max levels).
- Optimize inventory across locations to balance availability with carrying costs.
- Monitor and report on key metrics such as inventory turns, stock outs, and excess/obsolete inventory.
- Manage and monitor relationship and performance of 3PL warehouse.
- Coordinate shipment bookings with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers, optimizing routes and modes of transport.
- Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, disruptions, or exceptions.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation completeness.
- Collaborate with customs brokers to support efficient clearance and minimize delays at borders and reduce duties/tariffs.
- Optimize freight spend by comparing quotes, negotiating rates, and selecting best-value logistics partners.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in supply chain management role is required.
- Minimum 3 years of inventory management and logistics roles are required.
- Experience in multi-channel or product-based businesses (retail, wholesale, or e-commerce) is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management is required.
- A formal designation, such as SCMP, is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
