WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Inventory & Logistics Analyst supports the Manager – Inventory & Logistics by executing the day-to-day transactional work that keeps inventory, orders, returns, and freight moving accurately across all channels. The position maintains inventory and planning data, processes orders and returns, tracks inbound and outbound shipments, audits freight and shipping costs, and maintains the recurring reporting the department relies on.

$44,824 – $58,260.80 annually

LOCATION

This position is hybrid/remote. The incumbent will be required to report to our Headquarters, located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as directed.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Manager – Inventory & Logistics

Key Relationships: Operations, Customer Service, and cross-functional teams; vendors, the 3PL, carriers, and returns platform

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all channels, including cycle counts and variance investigation.
  • Update demand, replenishment, and planning parameters as directed by the Manager.
  • Prepare replenishment, purchase order, and transfer recommendations, process once approved, and track open purchase orders against demand and lead times.
  • Resolve receiving discrepancies with vendors and the 3PL.
  • Monitor inventory health by channel (stockouts, aging, excess, and obsolete) and escalate risks.
  • Process and monitor orders and returns through to completion in the ERP, including manual retail returns and credits not captured by integration, and the weekly returns check.
  • Advance wholesale orders on the established cadence and verify orders meet channel shipping and compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve integration failures affecting orders, returns, and purchase orders across connected systems, escalating persistent issues to the Manager.
  • Prepare shipment and customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations) and maintain HS code records.
  • Audit freight invoices and pursue discrepancies, refunds, and credits with carriers; maintain landed cost records and prepare invoices for the Manager's approval.
  • Maintain recurring reporting on forecast accuracy, fill rate and service level, inventory turnover, days on hand, and landed cost.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze large data sets and summarize findings clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic modelling.
  • Working knowledge of inventory movement, sales channels, and warehousing to support supply planning.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail and data accuracy; able to meet tight deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; comfortable working without established procedures, and eager to take ownership of problems and bring forward solutions.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an analyst role is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP or inventory management systems is required.
  • Experience with inventory/demand calculations and numeric models is preferred.
  • Experience supporting import/export shipments, freight coordination, or customs documentation is preferred.
  • Experience processing orders and returns in an ERP or order management system is preferred.
  • Experience in multi-channel or product-based businesses (retail, wholesale, or e-commerce) is preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is required.
  • Progress toward a formal designation, such as SCMP, is an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
