WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Marketing Coordinator supports and coordinates the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns and initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth. This role collaborates closely with marketing, creative, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals. The incumbent will support our teams and social mission by providing photography and social media content for our commercial products and handmade Indigenous Market.

SALARY
Starting at $42,000
LOCATION
This position operates on a hybrid work model within an office environment. The incumbent will be required to report to our Headquarters, located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on a routine basis. The candidate must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the city (up to 10% of the time).
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing.
Key Relationships: Marketing, Creative, and external partners.
Direct Reports: No.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as maintaining files, tracking projects, scheduling meetings, and updating marketing calendars.
- Provide support for marketing initiatives, including preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and helping manage deadlines.
- Provide status updates and basic reports on marketing initiatives; support budget tracking and invoicing as requested.
- Manage marketing databases, contact lists, and CRM updates.
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries, including photos, templates, and marketing materials.
- Prepare drafts of social media posts, internal communications, and other marketing content.
- Update existing marketing materials with approved text or minor layout changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with marketing campaigns, events, and social impact initiatives.
- Monitor social media channels, engage with our audience, and foster positive community interaction.
- Capture photos for internal and external use, including events, employee spotlights, marketing materials, and corporate communications.
- Edit and organize photos using basic editing tools (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva).
- Coordinate with other departments to gather information, schedule, and ensure accuracy in communications.
- Coordinate and track influencer campaigns and user-generated social content.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role is required.
- Experience working in a Marketing or Communications department is an asset.
- Basic photography and content creation skills, or the ability to learn, is required.
- Full Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
Educational Requirements:
- Formal post-secondary education, such as a certificate or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
