Ebony's Story: Ebony Chubb is a First Nations Ojibway artisan from the Metis community of Camperville, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg as a young child and it is now the place she calls home. Ebony is a talented emerging artisan and completely self-taught. She considers her style to be modern with the use of traditional elements. Artistic by nature, Ebony has always loved creating and crafting. As a small child, she was fascinated by her mother's sewing machine and tried beading for the first time. In 2013, she rediscovered her love of working with beads and also began working with leather. Now, a mother to five children of her own, Ebony enjoys spending time with her husband and children and doing things as a family when she is not creating beautiful art.
