Our Vision
As a company rooted in Indigenous culture, our vision is to build a vibrant, global brand that makes a positive impact in Indigenous culture, people, and communities.
The Storyboot School
The Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School collaborates with Indigenous artists across Canada to teach the art of handcrafting mukluks and moccasins.

About the Storyboot School
The Storyboot School consists of Indigenous-led courses taught at our headquarters, retail stores, and cultural institutions. These workshops help preserve traditional arts and culture for generations to come but also promote cross-cultural sharing.
The Storyboot Project
Our Storyboot Project is an online marketplace where Indigenous artists and entrepreneurs showcase their one-of-a-kind mukluks, moccasins and accessories.
100% of the profits go back to the artists.
About the Storyboot Project
The Storyboot Project began in 2015 with the dream of sharing our global marketplace with Indigenous artisans. We work directly with each artist, providing them with business mentorship and a place to tell their story. All marketing costs are covered by Manitobah Mukluks, and 100% of the profits return to the artists.
Indigenous Collaboration
Indigenous artists are actively involved in all areas of our design process. We compensate all our artists while allowing them to fully leverage our brand’s platform to tell their story.

From the very beginning we've used a strict Indigenous first hiring policy when searching for new employees. Our business was built by Indigenous artists and entrepreneurs and today 50% of our staff in Canada are Indigenous.
Bursary Programs
We work in collaboration with The Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development to provide an annual bursary to students studying finance or business at college or university.

Indigenous Founded
Métis entrepreneur Sean McCormick started Manitobah Mukluks in Winnipeg in 1997. Today as CIO, part owner, and board member, Sean continues to lead Manitobah Mukluks with the same vision he had 24 years ago – Build a vibrant global brand that makes positive impacts in Indigenous communities.
Community Partners
Montreal Lake Cree Nation is not only a board member but is also an equity partner. We are honoured to get to work alongside and share our success with an Indigenous community.
Montreal Lake Cree Nation
Montreal Lake Business Ventures (MLBV) was formed in 2010 to act as a business arm of Montreal Lake Cree Nation. In 2018, MLBV joined us by becoming a proud partner and board member. As part-owner, MLBV strengthens our ability to make positive impacts in Indigenous communities.
Community Events
We take advantage of every opportunity to host community events, workshops and classes. When we can't host events of our own we sponsor others.

Community Workshops
Every winter we open up pop-up shops across Canada. Each shop has it's own community space where we hire Indigenous artisans and entrepreneurs to host their own mini workshops. Each workshop is entirely unique and made available to the local community.
Community Sponsoring
We do our best to share our success within our local communities. We take pride in our efforts to help sponsor and donate to local events, pow wows, fundraisers, and charities.
