For every pair of KANADA mukluks and moccasins sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to Rosa Scribe, an Indigenous artist dedicated to teaching traditional arts in her community and at our Storyboot School in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Cree Nation, Norway House
Born and raised in Norway House, Cree Nation (population 5000), Rosa Scribe is a soft-spoken and inspirational artist. Having learned the art of handcrafting mukluks from her grandmother, Rosa has spent 25 years perfecting her art.
Today, Rosa has become a renowned teacher at University College of the North, instructing ever-expanding classes of students who are learning to make mukluks, moccasins and mitts the traditional way.
